The image that really started it all. Shot in 2017 outside of the JP Morgan Chase building on 48th and Park Avenue.

Midtown Manhattan, 2018.

The Corporate America Series collection image

The Corporate America Series is an exploration of the social constraints and visual frustrations that come from working in such a structured environment. Through the work, I am exploring the American workplace and its confines. Focusing on the commute, to the daily cup of coffee at Blue Bean on 57th and Park, I am drawn to this auto-pilot mode and how it looks for those who are apart of it. The sagging of shoulders, seeing the same faces with the same expressions months apart.

After watching my father for over 20 years take the same local C train downtown, to walk into the same office where he would do the same work, I became obsessed with this repetition. I grew up watching fists be clenched and television time being idolized. "Relaxing after a hard day" is what it was dumbed down to be. I started making photographs with this idea in mind now four years ago. I have had fists thrown my way, police called and some have followed me for quite a while. Secrets?
