Fortunately, the snap is short & sweet.
A quick respite from the pain, the anguish, despair in both the current & the past...a snap toward the positive, precisely mirroring this external snap of energy.
One can only last so long in darkness, and one can only bend so far...from here one snaps into place via complimentary, static, or contrary motion.”

Growth. Expansion. Recovery.
These three phases are the components of an auroral substorm; in the sobriety journey, recovery from addiction, our daily lives…we experience all of these phases in some capacity.
For nine years I was in the throes of an alcohol addiction. I attempted to take my own life. I endured an emotional break which included physically harming myself.
I wanted to die & attempted to drink myself to death on many nights.
Yet in sobriety I discovered photography; and through photography I fell in love with the aurora.
I found a place to be free. To reflect. To heal. A place where traumas vanish.
A place to grow, expand, recover.
“Book II - Continuum” is the second collection in my long term body of work, where journal entries connect with the aurora to offer insight, hope, and honesty in recovery.
“In darkness there is opportunity - not only in finding the light, but also in becoming the light.”
(This book will consist of two parts)
