Dasha Astafieva

Dasha Astafieva is an alluring woman who repeatedly left the public in awe with her candid photo sessions, graced the cover of Playboy, and was supportive friends with Hugh Hefner. She revealed her genuine strength and steel character from the first days of the miserable war. Dasha categorically gave up the glitter and began peeling potatoes to feed Kyiv's hungry defenders and residents. She immediately became a symbol of shelter and home warmth in the frosty days of the dreadful war.

Perhaps Dasha was chosen by the soul of Roksolana, one of the most prominent women in Ukraine, Turkey, and world history. Roksolana is depicted in many paintings. Dozens of books and musical works have been written about her. In 1515–1520 she was captured by the Tatars and brought as a gift to the harem. She became the beloved wife of Suleiman I, with whom she had a poetic correspondence. Using her own funds, she built mosques, schools, and hospitals for affected women and took care of the position of women in harems.
