When winter comes Hawaii is one of the most active places on earth for waves. Low pressure systems come off Japan with tons of strength. When we see Japan Snowing it's almost certain the swell is coming in 2 weeks. Living in Hawaii my entire life we study weather patterns. Before we didn't have live surf cams or even accurate reports. It was all studying weather patterns and charts.
