I experienced many different emotions while documenting covid photos. I was in a big shock before but I realized that I needed to pull myself together and record these historical moments.For a while, people over the age of 65 were forbidden to go out, then this ban was lifted and they could go out within limited hours. Meanwhile, they had to maintain their social distance.In between, they chatted with screens and masks. They always stayed away from each other because all the news programs said that this age group was at risk. I was emotionally touched while shooting these snowflakes, but I knew I had to record these historical moments.
Artist : Deniz Kalayci Edition : 1/1 Bio :I was born in Turkey in 1981. I have been doing documentary photography for 12 years. I won awards in National and International photography competitions. I was on the cover of the French Rave Revolution magazine with my photo, which was the 1st place in 2019. I am also a teacher of disabled children. I have done a lot of work by combining photography and the lives of disabled children. The Covid_19 Pandemic emerged on December 1, 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of China's Hubei region, and quickly spread to the whole world. This great epidemic has increased its impact in Turkey in 2020. Work places and schools were closed for a while. Mask, hygiene and social distance rule were introduced. During this process, people who were locked in their homes stayed away from each other. The pandemic (covid-19) that completely changed our lives and its reflection on photo frames.
