With the increase in the epidemic in the world, vaccination studies of governments and the World Health Organization started. In this process, anti-vaccination protests started with people who wanted to be vaccinated. In this photo, I recorded a health worker in Turkey vaccinating an old uncle who wanted to be vaccinated. The elderly got sick with the effect of this epidemic. They are very afraid of dying. Actually, not only the elderly, but all of us are very afraid of this epidemic because we do not know what it is and we can get sick with every breath we take, and this deeply affects my psychology. A health worker in the area where I live saw this uncle sitting alone in one of the coffeehouses where old people gather and asked if he wanted to be vaccinated. The fear in the old uncle's eyes seemed to describe the power of the pandemic. I hope this epidemic ends and we return to our normal lives. This photograph of mine was deemed worthy of the IUE Medical Park 10th Anniversary “Healthcare Workers Photo Contest” exhibition award. https://sonuc.tfsfonayliyarismalar.org/tr/yarisma-sonuc/sonuc/ieue-medical-park-10-yil-saglik-calisanlari-fotograf-yarismasi-tr#gallery-10

Artist : Deniz Kalayci Edition : 1/1 Bio :I was born in Turkey in 1981. I have been doing documentary photography for 12 years. I won awards in National and International photography competitions. I was on the cover of the French Rave Revolution magazine with my photo, which was the 1st place in 2019. I am also a teacher of disabled children. The Covid_19 Pandemic emerged on December 1, 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of China's Hubei region, and quickly spread to the whole world. This great epidemic has increased its impact in Turkey in 2020. Work places and schools were closed for a while. Mask, hygiene and social distance rule were introduced. During this process, people who were locked in their homes stayed away from each other. The pandemic (covid-19) that completely changed our lives and its reflection on photo frames.
