Episode No.23 of Betelgeuse Drift sci-fi series. Concept art illustration (matte painting). 3ds Max, Photoshop. Rendered with Arnold.
This one is not that simple. One of the reviews I received read as follows: "What i think is happening is that the subject of this piece craves light — something desirable and thing he sees as good — what he does not see that he is surrounded by it and suffers great pain trying to reach what he already has, not acknowledging anything." And I have to say, it's pretty close.
Content keywords: sci-fi, space, astronaut, spaceman, room, dust, flow, molten, melted, metal, stream, liquid, dark, shining, milk, glass. Color palette: red, yellow, purple, brown.
Billions of Stars. Loneliness. The Price of Decisions Made.
Collection of my personal conceptual sci-fi artworks. Initial sketches were made as part of the visual development stage for a CGI short film, but decided later to refine them as individual artworks, and to combine into a scripted visual story.
