"PERFECT!" Is the one of one that all the rest are about. As we build and climb the ladder to perfection there is only one outcome that we can expect. It was important to me to finish and fulfill the end result to fully express my feeling about perfection. I leave you with the original description below.
This project is a depiction of the universe we live in and the limitations we live with. What is and is not possible. We have to understand what is real and realistic. We often push ourselves at an unrealistic pace and we cause ourselves to falter and stumble. We must change our mentality if we want to succeed. We can not be perfect, we should strive to be better than our old selves. We should extend grace to ourselves. We will fall. But, we can be better.
The Perfection Collection
I have a perfectionist streak in me and this is my attempt to continue to grow and build upon my flaws in a constructive manner. As an artist it seems to me that most fellow artists and also the general public have a tendency to want everything to be perfect. I created this collection to show how the more you strive for perfection, you end up destroying yourself. Do not get caught in the machine of perfection. I hope this helps and encourages you to improve and grow , while also allowing for you to extend grace to yourself. We can not be perfect, we should strive to be better than our previous self. Loving yourself means extending grace to yourself, no matter what you may have done in the past. "It is okay, we can improve."
