This photograph was taken on one of my road trips to the high ranges of Idukki, which is a place situated in the Western Ghats of Kerala, India. I went to this part of the lake looking for a possible shot. There I saw this girl, a tourist, sitting on a small rock beside the lake. I loved the frame instantly. After clicking this shot I asked her what was she thinking while sitting there. She said, 'My mind was empty'.
My solo travels are my way of discovering myself. The roads I ride, the mountains I climb, the peoples I meet, the food I eat and the emotions I experience all seems to influence the inner me. I believe the vastness of mind comes from the new things, one experience, through the journeys they go.
About the Artist: I am Pradeep Krishnan, nature and street photographer, from the southern part of India. I have been into photography for the past 10 years and had worked in a couple of magazines as photographer and photojournalist. Currently working as freelance photographer and video editor.
