When I look around, I'm convinced that the world is all about colours and shapes. Inspired by Piet Mondrian’s Composition with Red, Blue and Yellow, I created this composition by combining primary colours and lines with the human silhoutte presenting itself as the "Stain".

About Emre Çakmak:
Emre Çakmak, an English Language Teaching student at Gazi University, is an award-winning photographer from Turkey. In his pursuit of magical moments in daily life, he’s been taking Street Photography and Documentary Photograps since 2019 and describes himself as an intuitive photographer of instant compositions.
Inspired by both of daily life and surrealism movement, he uses various photography techniques for overlaying his imagination onto the mundane and bringing surreal views to the frame and turning photography into a way of expressing his feelings and thoughts.
His photozine, Labyrinth, was published by Bump Books and some of his works have also been published in international magazines and exhibited globally. He is one of the winners of Italian Street Photography Festival 2021 and The Ian Parry Scholarship 2021. He achieved the Special Jury Award in international Istanbul Street Photography Festival in 2020. Some of his photos have been selected and shortlisted in international festivals and contests such as Lens Culture, Sony World Photo Awards, The Independent Photographer, Leica Street Photo Awards among others. He was also one of the juries of Istanbul Street Photography Festival held in 2021. As a young photographer with great curiosity and passion, he loves telling visual stories with his own unique flair.
License: Primary NFT holder is free to use in advertising, display privately and in groups, including virtual galleries, documentaries, and essays by holder of the NFT, as long as creator is credited. I imagine humans as a “Stain” on the canvas of life full of thousands of colours. Tar drips from our trotters; ink smudges have covered our hands. We are abnormal sihouettes among the geometry around us, almost like a divine mistake in the middle of this bright merriment; here, there, everywhere.
"Stain" consists of 5 photos, two of which are self portraits, glued together by form and emotion. Light, colour and geometry are the main elements in all compositions with the human silhouette being the stain. Taken between 2019 & 2020, it is a contemporary take on Street Photography and my subjective and emotional interpretation of the streets and this world.
