Is a conceptual artwork which uses symbolism to express the gap between the responsibilities of a man and woman within a household. It uses the equals to ( = ) sign to represent two lines that never meet but also portrays them as equals. In today’s world, most of the household chores fall onto women’s shoulders while men are expected to go out and work not participate in doing these chores hence it seems like these parallel lines of equality don’t meet. But this is also symbolic of equivalence and inspires us to build a home where both a man and a woman do the household chores as equals. They share the load together by being equal partners. This piece wants to encourage expectations where men and woman share the workload in a household. It hopes to break the stereotypes and see all genders as equals.
