Dreams About Falling 8 (8/26/2021, R code). This piece is part of twenty selected generative artworks released as unique iterations (numbered 1-10), in a limited collection by Kenny Vaden: “A Human in Times of Chaos.” This highly variable artwork resulted from code that jittered parameters for number of strata and number of circles. This code drew strata-lines followed by a number of circles per layer, then lines were fit such that they did not overlap with a preceding line or circle. Circles were allowed to overlap within a layer, but would stack vertically whenever they touched a circle from the stratum below. Weighted averages were drawn in shades of gray across filled gray polygons for each stratum, and the orange circles contained concentric gray edges of randomly varied widths. The image dimensions for this file are 16x20 inches and 300 DPI, which produced a file size below the 40 MB limit but provides a higher resolution (more detail) than the original version shown online.
