Convulsion 6 (7/28/2021, R code). This piece is part of twenty selected generative artworks released as unique iterations (numbered 1-10), in a limited collection by Kenny Vaden: “A Human in Times of Chaos.” Two-hundred simple wave patterns were generated, smoothed through an averaging process between adjacent vertical lines, then submitted to a high-resolution omnidirectional flow field. The resultant lines were up-sampled using spline interpolation, then used to form the boundaries of stripe-shaped polygons. Each tile was filled using a jittered left-to-right color gradient selection, which was re-randomized for smaller segments. Those pieces were drawn after each stripe, with increasing random leftward drift from left to right. This produced a sharp, buckling wall-like surface. The image dimensions for this file are 20x20 inches and 300 DPI, which produced a file size below the 40 MB limit but provides a higher resolution (more detail) than the original version shown online.
