Magnetic Field Reconnection Event 9 (6/1/2021, R code). This piece is part of twenty selected generative artworks released as unique iterations (numbered 1-10), in a limited collection by Kenny Vaden: “A Human in Times of Chaos.” Forty downward cascading concentric circles were calculated in a diminishing vertical scale to create perspective. Links were formed between corresponding points in adjacent circles, which were used as the foundation for tiled polygons. Polygons were drawn with increasing height moving away from the origin, with noise added. Jittered gradient colors were selected based on tile plotting order from top to bottom of the plotting region. Based on distance from the origin, orange and red points were drawn above a few similar colored tiles. A black hemisphere was calculated using the same vertical perspective scaling, added to the plot after the tiles behind or above it. The image dimensions for this file are 20x20 inches and 300 DPI, which produced a file size below the 40 MB limit but provides a higher resolution (more detail) than the original version shown online.
