Pokémon ✕ Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji is an NFT collection where he portrays each of the paintings of the collection “Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji” (which despite the name has 46 paintings) by the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai dated from 1832 and "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji" by the Japanese artist Hiroshige, merging them with classic illustrations from the Pokémon video game series made by the Japanese illustrator Ken Sugimori from 1995 - 1999.
The NFT collection aims to mix classic Japanese paintings from the 19th century with illustrations from the beginning of the Pokémon game series developed in late 20th century, bringing the contrast between styles and harmonizing them under a mix of several contemporary artistic trends, including Vaporwave, Aesthetic, Retro Vice and 90’s Retro Japan.
