"Symmetry Obsession" is an ongoing series in which I use photography to communicate my symmetry OCD.
The demand for things to be perfect, accurate, or "just right," symmetrical, or correctly aligned, characterizes symmetry obsessions in OCD, and related compulsions include ordering and arranging, evening up or aligning things, and touching or tapping.
It's become a double-edged sword for me; I enjoy it more when clicking symmetrical objects, but I also have strong urges to rearrange everything and can spend an unusual amount of time attempting to position objects in a flawless and acceptable manner.
