The Watzmann is the dominant mountain massif of the Berchtesgaden Alps and the landmark of the Berchtesgadener Land. The mountain towers are imposingly above the Berchtesgaden valley basin. Not only its height of 2,713 meters but especially its unusual shape make it so famous. This photo was taken from the Gaisberg in Salzburg, Austria during sunset on a winter day in 2018.
