I was in New York for NFT NYC. I had had a blast on the trip, met a lot of amazing people, and even got to go to the VeeFriends Secret Wine Party.

After getting on the train quickly, and once we got going I realized... I had left behind my duffel bag with all my clothes (including the secret wine party shirts) among other things. Frantically I got off at the first stop, came back to where I started, but the bag was gone.

At this point I had less than an hour before boarding and I was still in Queens. I was stupefied, thinking about how I had just lost all my stuff, while also hoping I would make it in time. It was while I was standing there waiting for the next train to come that this pattern and texture of the train tracks caught my eye.
