Sometimes we get stuck in a rut and think we can never get out of the dark days, weeks, months, but this piece is to remind you that there are always better days to come. Maybe it’s a brighter day to…walk the beach, watch the leaves fall, sit and watch the sun go down. Who knows, but there will definitely be a time when you feel alive again.
Our connection to nature is one of the most valuable things in life. I believe it is the medicine for happiness, peace and for a more fulfilled life. Having gratitude for the little things in life, creates small pockets of happiness that never ends. I believe the power of nature is so strong, and this is why you will see a lot of my inspiration comes from the colours that nature bleeds. I believe we all have struggles in life but if we keep going we can always find the light. This is why I like to show strength and courage in my works using marks and colours to display pain, trauma, sadness but also hope, happiness, and beauty. I create many layers using acrylic paint, and bottled emotions, that is reflected in the markings and colours I choose. I hope you enjoy the broken house under construction, that is my mind.
