Title: The Alien Collection: Lilliput - The Unseen World Of Macro Artist: Avinash Rajendran Edition: 1/1

A beautiful Wandering violin mantis on a hydrangea flower.

I was in night shift that day, and about to sleep after my work. It was around 7 AM and I heard a screaming sound. It was my mother as she saw this beautiful little guy. He/She looks like an Alien and my mother got scared. But for me, it was like a lottery. This is one of my dream subject to photograph, especially a close up Macro shot. Actually this little guy was too cooperative to photograph, seems he was so curious. I didn't waste a single minute, I took my camera and I had a Macro lens which borrowed from a friend. This little beauty was moving between my plants. And he posed for me about 15 minutes. I was able to capture his portraits, extreme closeup shots, habitat shots and many. Due to the hangover of night shift, I went to bed after taking 6-8 different photos.

And, here is a full size portrait image of "Wandering Violin Mantis.

This is a single image, no manipulation or stacking used. Device used: Nikon D500 with Tamron 90 mm macro lens.

Lilliput - The Unseen World Of Macro collection image

You may heard about Lilliput, A land imagined by Jonathan Swift that was inhabited by tiny people. Here I am giving the same name to my collection. This collection contains macro photos of tiny subjects. All images are captured from Nature. And everything is single shot, no stacking or manipulation used while processing. Few images were captured using "Reverse Macro" technique. Mounting the lens reverse to camera. Its the cheapest and toughest Macro photography technique, but it produce more detailed images in single shot.

Artist: Avinash Rajendran Edition: 1/1 Maximum collection size: 10
