Dan Nguyen (Demonslayer) is a Vietnamese American artist, creative director, music producer and DJ. Born and raised in Southern California and Saigon Vietnam, the multi-disciplinary artist grew up illustrating surreal worlds, influneced by a myriad of concepts, such as retro comix, obscure album art, nostalgic rave, graffiti culture and the Asian American experience.
Continually pushing ideas and honing crafts, Dan maintains a delicate balance between personal and client based creative projects. He releases records and performs live as Demonslayer, curates and produces events and happenings all over the globe, designs and paints murals, and daily involvement in a multitude of tasks grounded in his ideology and style.
Dan’s music and sonic journey has taken him on stage twice at Coachella, in addition to touring and radio play all over the world. His artwork continues to be adorned internationally on products, apparel, gallery walls and buildings, etc. He has shown alongside greats such as Raymond Pettibon and Barry McGee. His work, in its many forms, promotes self awareness, unlocking one's hidden potential and uplifting various marginalized communities.
Superchief Gallery is the world's 1st physical dedicated NFT gallery space. Since we opened our first digital art gallery in Soho back in 2016, Superchief has held the belief that digital-native artwork was an essential art form to include as part of the larger art movement of our era. We have had been running our version of a traditional art gallery space since 2012 and by 2016 we knew well that there wasn't a clear way to monetize digital artwork. But we felt strongly that just because we couldn't sell it at the present time, didn’t mean it should be kept apart from the art community at large. These are artists we feel are brilliant and exciting, and should be part of the cultural exchange.
