The project of drawing with a small animation, "Faces and Hands", started after seeing a performative action by the artist Marina Abramović called "The Artist Is Present", which was presented at the MOMA of New York in 2012. This performance kept repeating itself in my mind and made me feel an urge to create images that conveyed the expressive power of the gaze and gesture in its minimum possible expression. I decided to add a hand to each face, as an amplifier of the gesture, and the blinking of the eyes to give the sensation of the passage of time; a small gesture that indicates that the human condition is alive and present in the gaze. In this collection, made in a constant and dynamic way, I sometimes allow myself to add, as a reinforcement, an element that was not present in the original idea: humor.
