When I got to the beach it was still dark and only the breaking of the waves interrupted the silence of the night. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, felt the sand on my feet and thanked me for being there. It's always exciting for me to follow what, in my opinion, is one of the greatest shows that nature has to offer. I looked at the clock, there were still a few minutes to go. I got closer and let the water touch my feet. It was warm. I decided to walk a little.

A few more minutes passed and the darkness gave way to a bluish tone - it's what we call blue hour - Camera in hand, I started shooting.

Every 3 or 4 photos I took I stopped to observe. It was really beautiful and I needed to go further. I wanted to capture not just what I was seeing, but also what I was feeling. And a static image, as beautiful as it was, would not do justice to the reality of that moment. I needed to be more intense, I needed to get closer to all the sensations that my senses captured.

The transition between the frigid air of dawn and the heat that arrived when the sun rose above the horizon line. The wind touching my skin and ruffling my loose hair that insisted on falling in my face. The sound of the ocean waves coming and going on the beach. The bluish tone giving way to gold.

Everything there pulsed! Everything was alive, so photography needed to be too!

That through this photo you can feel all these sensations, as if you were also on that beach.
