"30 Days: Inside The Studio" brings you inside the studio with Marrisa as she designs the MARRISA WILSON New York Fall '23 Collection. When designing a new collection, Marrisa always starts by drawing concept sketches to figure out the mood, tone and color of the line. So each day in November, Marrisa will draw a Fall ‘23 Inspiration Sketch and release it that same day, allowing you to collect and be a part of the process of designing a physical apparel line.
"Improvisation" is the ninth sketch in the collection, released on November 23rd as a 1/1 piece. In this sketch, Marrisa was experimenting with this season’s statement print, designed to create an abstract sense of dancing musical notes. This print will be knitted into a pattern for an oversized sweater and a chunky scarf, using a textured yarn to add an additional layer of textile manipulation.
Collectors of a 1/1 piece in this collection will receive one of three editions of the next day's (or previous day's) sketch for free. And collectors of three 1/1 pieces in the collection will receive an additional 1/1 sketch for free as well!
