30 Days: Inside The Studio" brings you inside the studio with Marrisa as she designs the MARRISA WILSON New York Fall '23 Collection. When designing a new collection, Marrisa always starts by drawing concept sketches to figure out the mood, tone and color of the line. So each day in November, Marrisa will draw a Fall ‘23 Inspiration Sketch and release it that same day, allowing you to collect and be a part of the process of designing a physical apparel line.

"Sweater Lounge" is the second sketch in the collection, released on November 2nd as an edition of 3. Sweaters are always a great foundation for a Fall Collection, so as Marrisa continues to design the MW Fall '23 Collection, today she went into her own closet and found knit inspiration from one of her favorite chunky sweaters. In “Sweater Lounge” Marrisa was exploring chunky yarns in a classic rib stitch because part of her design process is looking at garment construction as a reference point. She also chose to work with sweaters first because they tend to take a little longer to develop than cut and sew pieces. So for this Day 2 Sketch, Marrisa is trying to land on a point of view to start and then will build the collection from there.
