1/1 - I have felt an affinity to these beautiful and mysterious creatures for the entirety of my adult life. A whale's voice travels for miles under water and carries a map of the life of that creature for any other beings and communities that can hear it. They are the Monarchs of the Sea. This painting is by my mother, the painter Stephanie Fuller; for my mother and I whales have always had a special connection and relevance to communicate with love and respect, and an openness to the wonders of this world. When I discovered NFTs I immediately thought of her painting of a humpback whale leaping out of the ocean called "Yeah, Baby!", that it would be the perfect collaboration with my poetry readings. The poem itself is a quote from Homer's "The Iliad". I feel it perfectly encapsulates this new adventure we collectively find ourselves on and am delighted to share this piece as Stephanie's Genesis mint and part of the Elysium Verto collection with the community.
