It was the first time that the prosecutor of Isfahan (one of the provinces of Iran) announced on May 14, 2019 that according to the orders of the mullahs and also according to the law, women cycling in public places is forbidden. He informed the police that if women's cycling was observed in the city, warn them respectfully, and if the woman did not have identity documents, the bicycle would be confiscated.

Isfahan flourished between the 9th and 18th centuries under the Safavid dynasty, when it became the capital of Persia, for the second time in its history, under Shah Abbas the Great. The city retains much of its history. It is famous for its Perso–Islamic architecture, grand boulevards, covered bridges, palaces, tiled mosques, and minarets. Isfahan also has many historical buildings, monuments, paintings, and artifacts.

The art of making earthenware mud bricks with a layer of colored glazed designs and patterns to cover all kinds of surfaces of a construction is called tile making. Tile is an earthenware object which its width and length is different and has a glass and smooth side and it is used not only as decoration but also moisture insulation in the construction.

Kashi (tile) has been well-known as the center of tile making and pottery industry since the early Islamic period. Tile has a long antiquity and is among the improvements and change which human has achieved in the field of brick making.

Tile working was revived during Abbasid Caliphs period and afterwards in Iran.

In this piece, as you can see, cycling with such wheels is impossible and is a symbol of the ban on women's cycling in Iran. In fact, this geometric shape of the wheels is inspired by Isfahan tiles, which I explained earlier.
