Naser al-Din Shah Qajar was the King of Qajar Iran from 5 September 1848 to 1 May 1896 when he was assassinated. He was the third longest reigning monarch in Iranian history. Nasser al-Din Shah had sovereign power for close to 50 years.

During the Qajar dynasty in Iran, many regions that were part of Iran, such as Georgia, Armenia, Afghanistan, Dagestan, Baluchistan and many other regions were separated from Iran.

Russia and Britain played a major role in these separations. Like the Golestan and Turkmenchay and Paris treaties imposed on Iran by Russia and Britain and the Incompetence Qajar kings accepting all those treaties and present-day Azerbaijan and Georgia and a big part of Afghanistan seceded from Iran.

During the reign of Naser al-Din Shah, a large part of Iran called Herat was separated from Iran and was almost the size of Afghanistan and was given to Afghanistan.

During the reign of this king with Treaty of Paris, the Persians agreed to withdraw from Herat (a big part of Current Afghanistan) and this part was separated from Iran.

Naser al-Din Shah was assassinated by Mirza Reza Kermani, when he was visiting and praying in the Shah Abdol-Azim Shrine on 1 May 1896.

In this artwork, I have combined the Iranian Qajar throne with the throne of the famous Game of Thrones series. Nasser al-Din Shah is sitting on this throne. I also wrote the word ناصر (Naser) in Farsi.

Lithography is a method of printing originally based on the immiscibility of oil and water. The printing is from a stone or a metal plate with a smooth surface. It was invented in 1796 by the German author and actor Alois Senefelder, Iranian lithography was imported to Iran in 1845 by Abbas Mirza. Nowadays this art has become a forgotten style.

Iranian lithography is a folk art that I have combined pop art with.
