The owner of this NFT has contributed to the preservation of a legacy to support Hopi Nation.
The first documented human presence in the Sedona area dates from between 11,500-9000 B.C. Sedona is located in the interior chaparral, semi desert grassland, Great Basin conifer woodland biomes of northern Arizona.
The Hopi are known as one of the oldest living cultures in documented history, having migrated north into Arizona in the 12th century. The Hopi are guardians of the sacred land they call Hopitutskwa. The oldest continuously inhabited village in the United States is Old Oraibi, located on top of Third Mesa, which is said to have been in existence since 1150 A.D.
Hopi once called Sedona home.
NFTs are the Holy Grail for Indigenous Peoples.
My Purpose of bringing awareness to indigenous wisdom, educating others on the benefits of connecting with nature & leaving a legacy for Hopi Nation through NFTs has been a priority.
The chain of events that led me from a comfortable lifestyle to living in my car is quite extraordinary. My path to enlightenment & purpose is no less so (see davidlennard.com).
In 2019 I developed Multiple Myeloma, a terminal bone cancer. I became hospitalized with fractured vertebrae, ribs, sternum & found myself days from hospice.
I fought back to contribute to society for the privileged life I'd led. This was the beginning of a 3 year journey of discovery, endurance, grief, isolation & family rejection.
This collection is designed in conjunction with a GoFundMe campaign to buy me time to find a trustee, hand over a portfolio of over 30k images for curation & construct a legal framework to insure my legacy is secured.
