Andrius Zakarauskas (born 1982), a conceptual painter, explores the medium of painting and the position of the painter in the context of contemporary art. The artist has had solo shows at the Rooster Gallery in Vilnius, the Michael-Schultz Gallery in Berlin, the Andreas Binder Gallery in Munich, Xin Dong Cheng Space for Contemporary Art in Beijing. The artist’s works are held in the collections of the Lewben Art Foundation, MO Museum and the Lithuanian National Museum of Art in Vilnius, and are displayed in the permanent exhibition of the National Gallery of Art. The first NFT by the author Andrius Zakarauskas is to be donated to the charity auction of the Juozas Kavaliauskas Charitable Foundation. All funds raised from the auction will go to fight childhood cancer.
