I couldn’t help but frown, slowly simmering in anger. I never understood why he would say such horrible words. My emotions felt like they were being washed across the ground. I felt like a doormat as he wiped his feet of all the energy he had taken upon himself as I was given the filth he had left behind.
I didn’t want that anymore. I shoved the feeling of being used aside and shook myself awake.
