This picture is of Eid 2022. I have never covered Eid before. But this year I went to this place called 'Bankra', which is a small suburb in West Bengal, India and took this photo. This is an early morning shot and to take this I stayed up the whole night. Cause I’m just not an early bird. So stayed up the night with a few cups of coffee and in the morning headed towards this amazing location which by the way is about 40km away from my home. The lack of transportation in that hour of the day sure made it quite difficult for me to reach there. But at last I went and man was I shocked. I got onto a rooftop of a 6 storied building and took this shot of the Morning Namaz. It was serene and pure and beautiful and everything nice. There were all sorts pf people all over the place. On other rooftops, on the street, in the passages and all gathered to pray to the almighty, the creator. To praise him and be grateful for the life that has been given to us. The morning breeze, the azan and the "namaz" had filled up the place with such positive vibes that I saw some people tearing up out of sheer ecstasy. Some of the people there welcomed us and offered us food as well. Got some blessings. That’s all that counts in the end right? This picture is a small representation of all that. This one holds a very special place in my heart. India is a country of diversity. You will find people of different religion, different caste, different race, different culture here. People here speak different languages in different parts of the country. And still there is unity in the diversity. There’s calm in the chaos. It has been like this for several centuries. India is a place where people of all beliefs are welcomed. But the thing that binds us all together is the love that we share with our people. Humanity is the religion that we all root for. And I think it’s beautiful. This country teaches us that humanity comes first. The blood that’s running through our veins is red irrespective of the caste, religion or race. In the modern world I think it’s very important that we establish this message to the society that we all are one.
