West Nusa Tenggara is a province that has a variety of cultures. One of the cultures in West Nusa Tenggara is on the island of Lombok. The culture is in the form of the Lombok Regional Dance, which is called the Gandrung Lombok Dance. Where, Gandrung Dance is a traditional dance art from Lombok which is danced in pairs between female and male dancers. The Gandrung Lombok dance is actually almost the same as the Gandrung dance in Java and Bali.

However, there are some differences that characterize it, both in terms of movement, costumes and presentation of the show. This Gandrung dance is one of the classical dance arts which is quite famous in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. According to some existing historical sources, this dance has existed since the time of the Majapahit Kingdom's expedition to eastern Indonesia.
