After long hours of driving through arid and harsh terrain, we reach a place where we're sheltered from the strong wind so we can settle for the night. Food is being prepared, music is playing and the whole group sits around the fire to stay warm.

Ever since I was a child we would go on camping trips with the family in the desert, so often that my childhood memories are all intertwined with sand. As I grew older we started going less and less but in my dreams and distant memories, I would see the desert with its subtle glory waiting for me. Now many years later I meet a tribe who later becomes more than family and that's when the oasis and a huge stretch of barrenness, set in the picture and fill that void I've been eagerly trying to quench.
