Passing people on their way home from work as light fades in the capital city of New Zealand, I stop and breathe. Because it’s these mundane moments that make up our lives, and they are beautiful. Last: Light celebrates the everyday magic of our world, and asks us to pause and look around.

Captured over the last year almost entirely on 35mm and 6x6 medium format film, every image was developed and processed by hand by the artist. This series serves as a reminder that our everyday life — commuting to work, running errands, seeing friends — can be beautiful.
