With the METAXIS project we have created a suggestion of spatiality that is in line with the aim of modern architecture. This allows you to experience light, air and space. Precise reflections, refractions and shadows transform the perception of space into being here, there and nowhere at the same time. This challenges people's perceptions. This is the concept of ‘Metaxis' or ‘in between’. This describes a state which is simultaneously in both the digital and the physical world. By using interactions between the virtual and physical reality, light and form sometimes become one and the multiple perspectives are visible at the same time. This interaction brings wonder whilst it also provides the challenge to see the light for itself. It looks different from every point of view, allowing for endless interpretations and perspectives.
