I absolutely adore this photo of Olive. I captured this one the same morning i shot “Inner Peace”. I normally go out around 9-11am to shoot, so I usually enjoy the fresh morning air and easy going light quite regularly. However, on this morning, the woods surrounding my house just felt otherworldly. An inexplainable sense of peace overcame me the moment I sat down in the grass(as I usually do) to begin snapping pictures of these felines. I don’t even know how to explain it, other than the simple fact that it’s a photo shoot I won’t soon forget. And... as for the photo :,D This one of Olive sums up exactly how I felt at that given time. Enchanted, with nothing but peace flowing all through me. The glow that the morning sun gave her in this shot equates to the warmth I also felt from the soft morning rays of the sun. I live in a remote area in Ohio. My house sits practically in the middle of a forest, I’m almost constantly surrounded by nature And cats. I have about 15-24 cats. Seven of them live inside, while the rest live outside. Despite the outside cats being more on the wild side, they still call my front porch their home. I feed them, tend to them if they get sick, and provide them with shelter whenever we have an exceptionally harsh winter here(like last year). As you can probably imagine, I consider each one of them an important part of my family. And as such, I’ve always made sure take pictures of them. I’ve been interested in photography for about half of my life, however, I only just started shooting consistently last year. since then, I’ve made it a priority to take as many photos of my fuzzy family members as I possibly can. This photography collection is meant to be a culmination of all of my hard work in doing so. With these photos, I tried to give them a sort of wildlife photography look, as most of these photos consist of my outside cats. With them living in the middle of the woods, I can get some fantastic backdrops that’ll be sure to remind you of wildlife photos.
