JAPE story
Kibu was rescued by a television crew from logging concession hunters in eastern Cameroon. He was only 2-3 weeks old and had several shot-gun pellets in arm. Not expected to survive but put under intensive care and when I met him he was in good health but still suffered mentally. . I found Kibu to be a bit of joker; while I had been trying to get Helene’s photo I turned to find Kibu had my sunglasses on - he had managed to grab them from my jacket which has hung up outside the enclosure.
