David Kellogg Lewis (1941-2001) was one of the greatest philosophers of the 20th century. He revitalized metaphysics in the analytic tradition, made important advances in semantics and probability theory, and is best known for his modal realism, or the view that alternate possible universes exist. This is the first documentary about Lewis' life and work, audio or visual. In four parts, it tells the story of his death, his birth, and his development from science prodigy to philosophical titan on three continents, the US, Europe, and Australia. It contains audio from his late wife as well as prominent philosophers of the 20th century and contemporaries of Lewis. It is produced and hosted by Barry Lam as part of the Hi-Phi Nation podcast series.
