More Power to Women
In this collection, six of my works are mainly focused on three communities.
- Nayakas
- Kurumbas
- Paniyans
Her Name is Seetha, studies in 8th standard. Her dream is to become a doctor. She has to walk 3 kilometers daily to catch the bus in order to reach the school. She is from Kurumba community.
She is the most educated girl from their community. They do everything for her education. When the pandemic hit the country badly the school classes were online. But they managed to buy a smart phone for her. So that she didn't miss any of her classes. I was happy to hear this story from her mother, she was proud too. Only through the proper education we can uplift them, her face still give me the courage to go with this project.
This collection consist of six portraits. Pictures are from a tribal community called Kurumba, people living in the mountains. After the collection is sold out, 20 per cent of the sales will go back to the community for their educational and personal wellbeing. The details will be personally sent to the collectors with authentic proof.
