On March 17, 2021 the US Federal Government held a public auction of 0.75001 Bitcoin through the General Services Administration auction. It was the first time in history the GSA has held such an offering as evidenced in this article; https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2021/03/17/bidders-running-up-price-bitcoin-government-auction/ There is a constant worry amongst Bitcoin holders that the US will one day attempt to ban bitcoin. However, the simple fact that the US Government themselves have sold Bitcoin to the public should dampen those worries. I was the winning bidder of this auction and I have created this 1/1 NFT that includes the purchasers receipt from the auction for someone who would like to have digital ownership of this historic sale.
