Pak released "merge." on 12/2/2021. This work is intended to be both an homage to Pak and the collection, as well as a commentary on his gravitational pull within this emerging golden age of digital art & NFTs.
Pak's ring symbol illuminates the singularity of "Mass" in the center. One goal of many playing the game is to eventually merge all into a single remaining entity (If Pak allows it). This is that remaining collection of all the entities merged into a single unit. The gravitational pull is so strong that it has begun to draw the clouds in, yet they are almost still beside it like guards flanking a ruler.
All of the pieces here are 1 of 1's created as thought pieces outside of my typical body of work. They are conversations with my life and experiences. In these cases clouds are not specifically the subject of the "poem", so to speak, but help distill or punctuate a moment that is of particular interest. All of the clouds are procedural volumetric elements built with a personal cloud and storm generator that I have been building for many years.
