Camped on the shore of Lake Bonney near Barmera in South Australia, I was totally unprepared for the Fire in the Sky that would be this nights sunset.

With such a sight to behold, and with hands shaking, fingers fumbling, and my brain wondering if this was the best composition, it was hard to concentrate on making a good photograph.

But with the fire burning for quite some time, there was plenty of time to gather myself together, slow down and to make the shot.

This was one event in my life that will stay with me forever, and one I would wish to repeat then next time I am standing on the shore of Lake Bonney at sunset.
