It's always fun to push that creative limits when you are bored shooting the same reef fish for several times. This was shot during a dive in Pulau Jong, a dive site famous for healthy coral and abundance of reef fish. I decided to play with my shutter speed and strobe light to give the shot an unusual look.

The trick is to move your camera in whatever pattern you want with a lower shutter speed and rear curtain flash sync on your strobes. Don't get fooled by Thi image. It's always not this sharp. It took a lot of tries to get one in focus.

This piece was created by Shinto K Anto (Artist alias: FloodedCamera). The image is part of a 1/1 photo collection called Singapore from Below.

Singapore from Below collection image

Volume 1 - Singapore is home to a large variety of animal and plant species, which can be found in their natural habitats. Be it dry land tropical rainforests, mangroves or coral ecosystems, there is a rich biodiversity to be found in our Nature. With this collection, I want to showcase some of the unknown underwater wonders in this local waters.

Unlike the rest of South East Asia, diving conditions in Singapore is challenging. On an average day we get only a visibility of 2-3 meters which can some time go towards 0 depends on the day. But these waters are a great place to photograph underwater macro life. This is going to be a two part series with a combined total of 25 photographs.

To make this world a better place, with every initial sale, we will be doing Marine Megafauna Foundation's whale shark adoption under collector's preferred name.

Let me show you a different Singapore from below.
