An out of focus image of a Manta ray shot at Guraidhoo, Maldives. Editing it with a creative brush made it more dreamy and gives an inception look. I love mantas, they truly are my spirit animal. Every time a giant one hover over you while diving, you can feel that special energy. Have you ever seen one flying ?

Manta rays a highly intelligent and highly threatened creature are the largest rays in the world. The sea creatures live in tropical, subtropical, and temperate ocean waters across the globe. “Manta” means blanket or cloak in Spanish, describing the look of the animals’ large, flat, diamond-shaped bodies, which are characterised by triangular pectoral fins.

But it's not all sunshine and rainbows. What I saw from the latest article in Nat Geo journal, we lost more than 90% of reef manta and over 80% of giant manta population in last 15 years. We need them in our ocean. To make some impact, 10% of any profit we make from the initial sale will go to mantatrust.org who are doing amazing work on Manta ray conservation. (Or any organisation on Marine conservation of Collector's choice)

Aqua Art collection image

All are 1/1 NFT digital art collection created from my original photographs. When visual ocean stories meet wild imaginations. This will always be an ongoing experiment project. Subjects can be anything ranging from an abstract concept to a tiny fish. Wherever a creative brain take me to make an original photo different. May be an another expression of how my brain really see these creatures under water.

Why a set of digital art pieces as the first collection for a photographer? Well, The best thing I liked so far about NFT is that, this platform is forcing me to learn new skills and techniques. These digital arts were made possible with a lot of help from friends I met during this NFT journey. Making new connections and learning new things, I am hopeful that there will be only positive take aways from this whole experiment.
