My Story:

I have spent my entire life wanting to be a mother. My whole career was planned around it. My hopes and dreams are tied to it. After 6 years and 3 miscarriages, I was finally pregnant…only to head into my 20 week scan to find out that our miracle had developed without life sustaining organs and recently passed away. I couldn’t accept it. I left the appointment and tried to come to terms. I would lay in bed, move to couch, move back to bed. I finally started going in between shivering chills and a high fever at which point my husband put his foot down. We went back to the doctors, and we found out I had started going into sepsis. A quick, compassionate, and medically necessary abortion saved my life when I was not even looking out for my own.
