MONA LISA BLUE (Maquette 3/4) is a QR code made from hundreds of tiles of LEGO, and this code, when translated by a cellphone, reveals a surprise for the viewer — an invitation: SMILE. While this artwork refers to the cryptic quality in the smile of Lisa Gherardini (otherwise known as "Mona Lisa") in the painting, La Gioconda (by Leonardo Da Vinci), the QR code also takes its inspiration from Film No. 5, entitled Smile, by Yoko Ono, whose movie attenuates an act of grinning by John Lennon, extending his smile into a slowed action that takes almost an hour to perform. This 'blue' mosaic is #02 in a unique series of colours:

LEGO mosaic (616 bricks), signed and archivally framed (24 cm high × 24 cm wide), in an edition of 4 (of which this one is #3).

Purchase of this NFT entitles the buyer to receive shipment of the artwork (with a certificate of authenticity) — delivered anywhere in the world (both tracked and insured), via the postal system.
