A real powerful moment in covering the protests for me. As I crossed the street on Santa Monica Blvd, I stopped in the middle of the street to get a straight on shot of the National Guard truck pulling at the stop light. The light was changing fast so I snapped and hurried across the street to avoid being a deterrent to traffic.
I looked down at the image and caught the soldier giving a peace sign. I looked at it two ways. I thought, they're human, they don't want to be out here doing this and they want a peaceful city just like the rest of us. The other view was that he was just posing for the photo. I'll never know.
This 25 piece collection is my documentation covering the protests in Los Angeles in June of 2020. Most of the images center around intersections in a few parts of Los Angeles. Those locations are Beverly Blvd and Fairfax Ave, Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave, Wilshire Blvd, and the Los Angeles Courthouse.
Token holders have the chance to redeem for a physical version of the work, 1/1, signed and all holders receive a copy of the full photo book that accompanies the project. All proceeds of this project will go to the development of The USB Project, a co-working environment from creators of the future. Thank you for taking the time to view the project! Feel free to ask any questions!
