It has been a very busy shooting this evening. So much that I didn’t even noticed that we entered into the night very fast. The sun was setting while the moon was rising and the dark didn’t even had the time to spread into the mountains. Only some shadows are still displayed by the trees here and there. I spent hours here, waiting for the perfect hour to make my pictures but the cold is back again. The only thing that keeps me a little bit warm is the round-trips I’m doing up and down the hill to adjust the headlamp I put in this little cabin to get the light. Each time it’s too much on the left, then too much on the right, so I go back down again, adjust, come back to the camera again, and again.. I try to not destroy the wonderful layer of snow in front of me. I made just one line of steps for the composition, but now I’m circling the hill when doing  my round-trips. It is calm now in the hills and mountains around me. Everyone left and I’m the only one standing here in this wild nature, enlightened by a strong full moon now high in the sky. It reminds me I always love the light produced by the moon, soft and relaxing. This is even more true in the snow, as everything turns immediately so dreamy.  Few more shots and it’s time to go. I pack my bag, go a last time down the hill for my lamp, the return hurts: my legs are done with this hill, it’s time for some rest.

Let's escape together for a night trip right after the last colors of the twilight till the first lights of the dawn. Let's walk under the moonlight, guided by the stars. Let's enjoy the silence and be scared of every noise. Then, let's become the creatures of the night.

Across the ages, Man has always been attracted by the night. Fascinating or frightening, it plays in our imagination and leads us to the most hidden parts of our subconscious.

As far as I can remember, night has always been my favorite moment of the day, even as a child. For me it was that moment where cities get empty, when people go to sleep, where the stress of the day comes to an end and where animals come out of their hidings.

With this collection I offer you the best 15 photography nights I spent the past 2 years. From the frozen winter nights in the mountains enlightened by the moonlight to the warm summer nights by the ocean under the stars, take a deep breath and jump with me into the darkness of the night.

Bio: I am a French based landscape photographer. I started my journey back in 2018 when I bought my 1st camera to learn night photography for an upcoming trip to Norway where I wanted to be sure to take my own Northern Lights pictures. The months before the trip I learnt, improved my skills, and finally the hobby turned quickly into a real passion. The past 3 years I've been chasing for the most wonderful sunrise, sunset and night sky all over the world. I'm passionated for colorful images including strong compositions. Amazed by the technology of actual cameras gear, I decided in 2020 to start a very personal and technical project of night shots using exclusively the moon light to enlighten the scenery. Finally, after years of practice, in 2021, I decided to left my job and start my career as a full-time photographer.
