In July 2001 I painted a grey abstract work, 1m x 1m and hung it above my fireplace. On 9/11, I watched the news broadcasting the horrific scenes of the attacks on the twin towers in America. As I watched I noticed the similarity of the image on the news and the painting hanging next to the television. At this point the painting was not named…I had to call it Grey City.

I scanned the original in sections and digitally rejoined them, colour matched the print to the original work and produced 50 limited edition, hand embellished giclée prints, these were all sold. The original hangs in my lounge to this day.

It seems only fitting to use the last artist proof digitally embellished as an NFT 20 years later. Edition of 10

I am British artist who has spent the majority of my life based in Hertfordshire. Studying Typographic Design at Watford College led to a 12-year career as a designer, after which I began to explore the freedom of expression through abstract art.

The Prince’s Trust aided me by funding and mentoring through my transition into becoming a professional artist selling my work to trade and public. I was one of the first UK artists to self-publish and hand embellish digital prints. I have worked closely with key trade manufacturers including Epson, Canon, Innova, Adobe, Wacom and Daler-Rowney.

My journey has been, and continues to be, an incredible adventure which has blessed me to work with my passion.

My 3d journey began building and selling my art in SecondLife in 2007 and since the pandemic stopped all live exhibitions I have begun to sculpt with virtual clay and poly paint creating 3d models.
